Sea salt, bamboo salt, Himalayan salt, table salt and other premium salts contain a similar amount of sodium by weight.

 

If you prefer a healthier alternative, you can consider lower-sodium salt, which mimics some saltiness. However, do remember to use them sparingly as they still contain sodium, and excessive usage will still increase your risk of hypertension.

Note: People with underlying medical conditions (e.g. chronic kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, etc) should consult a doctor before using salt substitutes.
